
Nexcess Released Upgraded Magento Hosting and New Server Clusters

The new cluster package of Nexcess includes six Dell Power Edge R420 servers with 2 Eight Core E5-2450 Sandy Bridge Processors, 24 GB of RAM, and a pair of 73 GB 10K SAS drives behind a Dell Power Edge 1950 load balancer. With the new updated cluster option, there are lot of benefits including increase in bandwidth provisions, increase in CDN bandwidth. In addition to that, Data usage has been increased to 10,000 GB with 5,000 GB of content delivery network bandwidth included. According to Nexcess, application servers in the cluster run from a pair of similarly specced Dell Power Edge R420 database servers, each equipped with four 146GB 15K SAS drives in a RAID 10 configuration and a Dell R410 file server with four 300GB SAS drives.
